Info on Opera-Garnier

Place de l'Opéra. 75009 Paris
Tél : 01.40.01.22.63
Métro Opéra
This is one of Paris's two opera houses, designed in neo-Classical style by Charles Garnier and inaugurated in 1875. In spite of its huge size, it only seats 2200 people. The grand staircase and the auditorium reflect the splendour of the late 19th century in terms of  decoration. The cupola over the auditorium was decorated by Marc Chagall in 1962. Recently given a facelift, the Opéra
Garnier is undoubtedly one of Paris's inest monuments and a must for any visitor to the French capital.
